Not every job starts this tidy
Behind a lot of older fuse boxes, this is roughly what's going on — ageing insulation, no proper earthing, circuits that were never designed for a modern household's load. It's usually the first thing flagged on a survey, and it's why a lot of our domestic work starts with the board rather than ending there.
